About Horsforth
The course is a mix of parkland and moorland designed by Dr Alistair Mackenzie and is always presented in good condition. The course combines some clever and devilish short holes with some altogether more substantial challenges. The original heathland which the course was built on is slowly changing due to tree planting over the last thirty years. The course was once catchment land for Horsforth water authority, two of the abandoned reservoirs forming part of the course boundary.
Mens Golf offers a range of competitions each month.
Rabbits Section (golfers with a handicap over 16 to 28 and over 18 years old ) welcomes new members.
Ladies section has been established for many years here at Horsforth.
Juniors have their own competitions and coaching sessions.
For those wishing to improve their game the club has two resident professionals who offer coaching to enable you to get more out of your game.
Besides offering outstanding golf in a friendly atmosphere, there is a thriving social side with events to suit all tastes.
